Some very smart fundraising kids used to wait outside the paper mill he worked at, selling boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts at shift change. Pretty hard to say no to when you’re exhausted, hungry, and know it will put a smile on your kids faces when they wake up! This led to Krispy Kreme glazed donuts being a staple of my childhood.
